TIP OF THE MONTH - June 2010

Don't forget that every 3 years the Zueri Faescht comes around and that means this year during the first weekend of July!

The festival starts at 16h45 on Friday July 2nd and ends at midnight on Sunday July 4th.

Just head to the Old Town and the lakefront to enjoy the fairground and entertainment (fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights) as well as the food and drink stalls. If you would like something more than a grilled sausage, wander up to the Lindenhof to try out some other food specialities.

This time there will be a Fr. 2 deposit on any drinks that are sold in PET bottles. You can get your Fr. 2 back when you return the plastic bottle to any vendor.

Some other tips for you: don't drive into Zurich, use the public transport or your bike! If you stay out late and use the night service, you will not be required to buy the usual night supplement ticket (Nachtzuschlag). And make sure you have your return ticket already purchased on arrival into Zurich - the queues to buy tickets after the fireworks will be long!
